Anthony Joshua shares first public message since car crash that resulted in deaths of 2 friends

Anthony Joshua, former world heavyweight champion, shared his first public update about the car accident that took the lives of two friends in Nigeria. In a post on Instagram, Joshua uploaded a photo of himself with his mother and three other women, one of whom was holding a picture. In the caption, Joshua wrote "My Brothers Keeper" with two hearts. Reports indicated that Joshua had returned to the UK in time for the funerals of Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele, held on Sunday. The accident occurred when the vehicle they were in, along with Joshua, collided with a stationary truck near Lagos. Joshua sustained minor injuries and was discharged from the hospital to recover at home. Ghami was Joshua’s strength and conditioning coach, while Ayodele was a trainer. The driver faces charges for dangerous driving, with a trial date set for January 20th. Joshua, who has ties to Nigeria, has yet to speak about his boxing future. Tyson Fury, another former heavyweight champion, announced his return to the sport, sparking speculation about a possible fight with Joshua.
