An Alabama man faces reckless murder charge from fatal car wreck

A man from Ariton, Jacob Dease, has been charged with reckless murder by a Dale County grand jury following a fatal car crash that resulted in the death of Indea Dease. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported that Jacob Dease was driving the car when the incident occurred, and Indea Dease was a passenger. The crash took place on Dale County Road 72 on the morning of Dec. 28. Unfortunately, Indea Dease sustained fatal injuries in the accident and the car caught fire soon after. She was pronounced dead at the crash site. Jacob Dease, who was seriously injured, was taken to Southeast Health Medical Center for medical care following the crash. Presently, Jacob Dease is being detained at the Dale County Sheriff's Office.
