Ambulance rollover in Warren after SUV crash

Warren police responded to the scene of a crash involving a rollover ambulance collision on Monday morning at the intersection of Eleven Mile and Hoover. A Universal Ambulance vehicle was hit by a Jeep Cherokee with a patient on board and with emergency lights and siren activated during the incident. The two medics and the 55-year-old patient were taken to the hospital, but fortunately, there were no serious injuries reported. The crash occurred on northbound Hoover near the I-696 Service Drive, when the Cherokee, driven by a 33-year-old woman with her 2-year-old son, collided with the ambulance at the intersection despite having a green light. Both the mother and child were unharmed. The Warren Police Department's Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit responded to investigate the incident, and at present, no determination has been made on the responsible party, as announced by the Warren Police Department.
