Alpine Loop closed due to fatal car accident.
Updated as of 10/20/2025 at 11:44 a.m. in HIGHLAND, Utah - A tragic incident occurred when a solo passenger vehicle was traveling westbound on SR-92 at mile marker 9 and veered off the road to collide with the mountainside. The 20-year-old driver sadly succumbed to their injuries. This event led to the closure of SR-92 in both directions until roughly 6:30 a.m. Authorities suspect that drowsiness may have played a role in the crash.
