All injured released after Reno crash police say was caused by street racing

Everyone injured in the three-vehicle crash at a Reno intersection last weekend have been released from the hospital and they are recovering at home. This is according to the Reno Police Department. RELATED: High-speed race ends in violent Reno intersection crash, multiple hurt The crash happened June 20 at the intersection of South McCarran Boulevard and South Rock Boulevard. Police said multiple people were injured, including an 84-year-old who was in critical condition. Investigators believe the drivers of an Audi RS5 and a Porsche 911 GTS were involved in a high-speed street race while traveling south on McCarran. Police said both vehicles ran a red light at McCarran and Rock and struck an uninvolved Toyota pickup that was lawfully in the intersection. All six occupants of the Toyota pickup were transported by EMS. Police said the juvenile driver of the Porsche, along with the adult driver and passenger of the Audi, were also transported by EMS. the 84-year-old was driving the Toyota pickup. Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing and that additional details will be released when they deem appropriate.
