CALERA, Ala. (WIAT) -- A local radio personality was identified following a fatal crash Saturday in Calera. Alejandro Andrade, known as "El Potrillo" who founded the Spanish radio station La Chula 975 in Fultondale, was killed in a crash that occurred in the 3000 block of County Road 12. In a Facebook post, staff at La Chula 975 posted the following: "News we don't want to give but as communicators we are, we have to report. Unfortunately our founder of this Tu Station La Chula 975 Lic. Alejandro Castillo Andrade better known as "EL POTRILLO" has died in a car accident. For the moment we do not have the complete Information to share with you. We ask for understanding and respect for the family. It's difficult times that we're processing with a lot of pain. We will be sharing more details for his funeral over the next few days. Thank you for your understanding" Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
