In an Instagram video, he mentioned he was okay and revealed that the incident involved his wife's car. The accident occurred after attending the Hamptons International Film Festival with his brother, where he serves as co-chair of the festival's Board Executive Committee. Baldwin expressed regret for the mishap and explained how a garbage truck forced him to swerve, resulting in the crash. He thanked the East Hampton Police Department for their assistance and mentioned his plans to visit his family in Los Angeles. Baldwin also commended his wife Hilaria, who was recently eliminated from Dancing With the Stars. The actor, who has been sober for 40 years, resides in the Hamptons and was involved in the accident in front of his luxury summer home in East Hampton.
