Alcohol Suspected in Fatal Platte Crash
In Colorado Springs, an accident on East Platte Avenue resulted in the tragic death of one individual and serious injuries to two others in the early hours of Sunday, Aug. 24. The Colorado Springs Police Department reported that a vehicle veered off the road, striking a tree at around 2:15 a.m. The incident took place at the 2300 block of Platte, close to Union Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers discovered multiple victims involved in the crash. Sadly, a woman was declared deceased at the scene, while two individuals were severely injured and transported to the hospital. CSPD mentioned that the investigation is ongoing, led by the Major Crash Team, and indicated that alcohol may have played a role in the accident. Following the incident, Jayden M. Hendricks was taken into police custody.
