Alcohol suspected in crash that killed teen: OSHP

A tragic crash that occurred in the City of Green resulted in the death of a teenage driver and is currently being investigated by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The incident took place overnight on S. Arlington Road and involved a single-vehicle accident. The driver, a 17-year-old male, was driving a Suzuki Kizashi when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn multiple times after hitting a ditch. Unfortunately, the driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, sustained serious injuries and was later pronounced dead at an Akron hospital. Authorities suspect that alcohol played a role in the crash and note that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt. The investigation is ongoing, and the victim's identity has not been disclosed.
