Albany resident killed in Saratoga Springs Route 9 accident

The incident, which took place close to East West Road, led to the closure of all lanes on Route 9 for a significant part of the day. Initial findings from the ongoing investigation indicate that a pickup truck had stopped on the shoulder due to mechanical problems when it was struck by a southbound tractor-trailer. The pickup truck driver, identified as Denise Howard, 43, was initially transported to Albany Medical Center with severe injuries but regrettably passed away later on.
