Alabama man charged with reckless murder in fatal car crash.
A man from Ariton, Alabama, Jacob P. Dease, 45, faces a charge of reckless murder following an indictment by a Dale County Grand Jury in connection to a car crash that resulted in the death of Indea L. Dease, 50. The incident occurred in December of 2024. According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Jacob Dease was driving the car with Indea Dease as the passenger when the crash happened on Dale County Road 72. The purpose of the grand jury indictment is to determine if there is sufficient evidence to charge someone with a crime. Sadly, Indea Dease lost her life in the crash, while Jacob Dease sustained serious injuries and was taken for medical treatment. Jacob Dease is currently in custody at the Dale County Sheriff's Office.
