Air India rushes to inspect Dreamliners after fatal crash prompts policy changes.

Air India has completed additional safety checks on 22 of their Boeing 787 aircraft in response to last week's tragic crash that claimed the lives of 241 passengers and 33 on the ground. The civil aviation regulator DGCA had instructed Air India to conduct extra maintenance checks on its Boeing 787 planes with GEnx engines, including specific assessments and tests. These checks did not reveal any major issues, but some flights using the 787 planes had to be canceled due to the extended inspection process. Furthermore, the closure of Iranian airspace has also affected flight operations. The Indian government is taking steps to enhance aviation safety measures, with a high-level committee being formed to review existing protocols and suggest measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
