Air India crash highlights safety concerns with Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner and recent issues.

The recent tragic Air India plane crash involving a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner has once again drawn attention to the aircraft manufacturer. Boeing highlighted the popularity of the 787-8, noting its status as the best-selling widebody passenger plane in aviation history, having transported over 1 billion passengers since its introduction in 2011. Despite the crash, no definitive cause has been determined yet. In response to the incident, U.S. safety officials are assisting with the investigation in India. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) have both pledged their support for the investigation. Boeing has expressed readiness to assist Air India and extended condolences to all affected by the tragedy. This marks the first crash involving a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, although previous investigations have involved this type of aircraft. The faulty cockpit seats and whistleblower complaints previously raised concerning Boeing's Dreamliner assembly are also under scrutiny, although any direct connection to the Air India crash remains unclear.
