Agencies rescue driver in Isle of Wight motor vehicle accident
ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) - Isle of Wight Fire Rescue responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 19400 block of Brewers Neck Boulevard Sunday afternoon. Upon arrival, units located a single SUV against a power pole with a patient trapped inside. The Smithfield Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to assist the with the extrication. Isle of Wight medics provided patient care during the extrication process before transporting them to a local trauma center. The condition of the driver is unknown at this time. Units from Isle of Wight Fire Rescue, Isle of Wight County Sheriff's Office, Carrollton Volunteer Fire Department, Smithfield Fire Department and Virginia State Police responded to this accident.
