AG says speeding and cellphone use caused deadly crash in Bucks County
A woman from Bucks County is facing charges relating to a tragic head-on collision that resulted in the loss of two lives and injuries to a pregnant woman last January. Tori Gutshall, 29, allegedly was using her phone and driving at excessive speed in rainy conditions prior to the accident. Prosecutors have brought charges against Gutshall, including homicide by vehicle and involuntary manslaughter. Following her arraignment and with a bail set at $200,000, she is accused of causing a fatal crash by veering into oncoming traffic on John Fries Highway. The collision claimed the lives of Aaron and Christie Bisschop, and the impact also injured a pregnant woman in another vehicle. According to a witness, Gutshall was driving at a high speed at the time of the crash. Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday emphasized the significant responsibility that drivers hold while operating a vehicle, citing Gutshall's alleged actions of speeding and using her phone in adverse weather conditions as contributing factors to the tragic incident.
