AG blames fatal Bucks County crash on speeding and cellphone use
A woman from Bucks County is facing charges after being involved in a fatal head-on crash in January that resulted in the deaths of two individuals and the injury of a pregnant woman. Tori Gutshall, 29, of Quakertown, has been accused of speeding and using her phone while driving in rainy conditions prior to the accident, according to prosecutors. Gutshall was charged with various offenses, including homicide by vehicle and involuntary manslaughter. She was arraigned and her bail was set at $200,000. The crash occurred on John Fries Highway when Gutshall, allegedly speeding and on the phone, veered into oncoming traffic, colliding with a car and causing the fatalities. Police reported that a witness observed Gutshall driving at a high speed before the crash occurred. Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday emphasized the importance of responsible driving to prevent tragic accidents, noting that in this case, the defendant's actions resulted in a devastating outcome.
