Additional charges for Steven Bailey before Park Tavern fatal crash trial

Prosecutors have added new charges to the upcoming criminal trial of Steven Bailey, the individual accused of causing a fatal crash at Park Tavern in St. Louis Park. The amended criminal complaint, filed before the trial, includes three additional charges of driving under the influence resulting in criminal vehicular operation for three victims: C.S., M.G., and N.L. The charging documents describe the injuries sustained by these victims, such as ongoing headaches, bruises, cuts, and bruises. Additionally, charges of causing great bodily harm have been amended for victims L.K. and T.L., with severe injuries outlined in court records. Surveillance footage reportedly shows Bailey driving recklessly into the parking lot, triggering the tragic crash that led to the death of two individuals and injuries to several others. Bailey, who pleaded not guilty in December 2024, is facing a total of 16 charges and is scheduled for a plea hearing on Wednesday. He has been released on bond but has strict conditions to adhere to, including avoiding contact with the victims and refraining from driving.
