Actor Bisbikis' traffic accident case delayed
Actor Vassilis Bisbikis has been released as his court hearing on charges relating to an incident where he reportedly crashed his pickup truck into three parked cars and a garage door before abandoning the vehicle was postponed to October 8. Authorities have accused the 48-year-old of not following traffic regulations by leaving the scene after the damage occurred. Following the early hours incident in the Athens suburb of Filothei, Bisbikis appeared voluntarily at the Kifissia traffic police, admitting responsibility for the crash. Police are investigating the possibility of Bisbikis having been under the influence at the time, following reports that he was at a Cretan music event earlier that night. In an interview with Mega TV, Bisbikis stated that he did not flee the scene and that a colleague had notified the police about the accident. He mentioned that he promptly contacted his insurance company within the legal timeframe and asserted that he had not consumed alcohol before the incident. Bisbikis expressed remorse for the situation.
