Accidents and Concerns at Intersection by Robstown Tesla Factory
Concerns have arisen over an intersection near the Tesla plant in Robstown's Lost Creek area as residents and drivers face safety risks. Tabetha Treme, a resident, captured a video showing drivers disregarding road rules, a situation that raises fears for her safety and that of her family while driving. Treme shared with KRIS 6 News a video depicting cars breezing through stop signs close to county roads 30 & 79 near the Tesla plant. She described an incident involving a neighbor who had a collision with a Tesla worker, resulting in a totaled car and a hospital visit. Treme has reported the reckless driving to law enforcement, and despite her efforts, she feels she has not received the necessary assistance. Nueces County Sheriff's Office, however, stated there were no complaints on record concerning the intersection. Following communication from a reporter, the sheriff's office plans to increase patrols in the area to address the concerns raised by the community.
