Accident shuts down U.S. 75 northbound near Caruth Haven Lane
Dallas police reported that the northbound lanes of U.S. 75 at Caruth Haven Lane re-opened on Monday morning following a fatal collision between a sedan and a construction vehicle. At around 1 a.m., officers arrived at the scene where they discovered a crash involving the two vehicles. Sadly, one individual was pronounced deceased at the location. The collision occurred when the sedan collided with the construction truck, causing the car to veer out of control and strike a guardrail on the opposite side of the freeway. The construction vehicle was serving as a safety barrier for another vehicle painting lane lines. The freeway was able to resume normal operations about 5 hours later. It is currently unknown whether the deceased individual was the sedan driver or a construction worker. Authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
