Accident occurs during race at Abilene Regional Airport
A man from Colorado tragically lost his life in a crash at the Abilene Airstrip Attack racing event on Sunday. The incident, which took place at the Abilene Regional Airport, involved a modified 2006 Chevy Corvette that rolled over multiple times and caught fire. The driver, Gregory Vernon Ibsen, 74, was the only person in the vehicle and sadly did not survive. The Abilene Police Department expressed their condolences to Ibsen's family and friends in this challenging moment.
