Accident investigator involved in crash following ambulance collision in L.A.
On Wednesday morning, a Los Angeles Fire Department ambulance, transporting a car crash victim to the hospital, was hit by another vehicle, as reported by authorities. Following this incident, a battalion chief investigating the crash was also involved in another collision at the same intersection. The initial collision took place at 9:06 a.m. in Reseda when a Fire Department rescue ambulance, with a patient from a prior accident, collided with a light gray sedan on Vanowen Street and Lindley Avenue. A battalion chief arrived for investigation, along with LAPD officials, at 9:46 a.m. and was involved in a collision at the intersection. Fortunately, there were no injuries to Fire Department staff in either crash, and the only injury was to the patient in the ambulance, which was minor. The police and fire officials will conduct an investigation into both collisions, as authorities have not yet determined the causes of the consecutive crashes.
