91-year-old woman from Rantoul dies in Ludlow collision
Update at 5:11 p.m. LUDLOW, Ill. - A 91-year-old woman from Rantoul tragically lost her life in a crash in Ludlow on Friday afternoon. The victim has been identified as Shirley M. Jones by Champaign County Coroner Laurie Brauer. The crash occurred at the intersection of State Route 45 and North Oak Street. The circumstances of the crash are currently under investigation by the Champaign County Coroner’s Office and Illinois State Police. In a separate incident, a two-vehicle crash caused road closures in Ludlow earlier today. Although the roadway has since reopened, one person was injured in the crash, and there are no further details available at this time.
