89-year-old New York woman dies in Greenwich 3-car collision on I-95, causing lengthy closure
A tragic three-car collision on Interstate 95 south in Greenwich led to the passing of 89-year-old Jill Newmark Haskel from Rye, a New York resident. The accident, in which Haskel's 2016 Subaru Crosstrek struck another vehicle after partially crossing into a different lane, resulted in her car spinning and rolling onto another car. The crash took place near the Exit 3 entrance ramp around 4:45 p.m., closing the highway for hours. While neither of the other drivers involved sustained injuries, Haskel was critically injured and later pronounced dead at Greenwich Hospital.
