88-year-old dies in deadly Moncks Corner car crash
An 88-year-old man named Christopher Jenkins from St. Stephen passed away following a deadly traffic accident on North Highway 52 on Thursday. The incident occurred near Moncks Corner, and Jenkins, the sole occupant of a 2005 Lexus SUV involved in the crash, was pronounced dead at 12:51 p.m. by the Berkeley County Coroner's Office. Responders from Berkeley County EMS, the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, and the Moncks Corner Fire Department were on the scene. Authorities are currently investigating the collision with assistance from both the coroner's office and the Moncks Corner Police Department.
