87-year-old Oak Grove resident dies in UTV crash on Tuesday morning

An 87-year-old man from Oak Grove lost his life in a tragic accident involving a utility vehicle early on Tuesday morning, as reported by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The incident occurred on Missouri Highway F, just south of J W Cummins Road, around 8:45 a.m. The senior citizen was driving a 2023 Kawasaki MWS when he made a left turn onto Highway F and inadvertently crossed paths with a 2001 Jeep Compass. The collision resulted in the Jeep hitting the back of the utility vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and collide with a tree. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, the man succumbed to his injuries. One of the passengers on the Kawasaki, a 74-year-old man also from Oak Grove, suffered severe injuries and was transported to a hospital. The driver of the Jeep, a 65-year-old resident of Oak Grove, was treated and later discharged at the scene.
