
82-year-old man killed 5 days after truck accident in Pontiac
An 82-year-old man tragically passed away after being struck by a truck in Pontiac, Michigan this past Monday, as reported by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office on Friday. The collision occurred just after 12:30 p.m. near the crossroads of Walton Boulevard and Baldwin Avenue. The victim, identified as Larry Gene Howard, was using a pedestrian crosswalk on Walton Boulevard at the time of the accident, when he was hit by a Chevrolet Colorado driven by a 68-year-old individual making a right turn onto the boulevard. Howard was taken to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries on Friday. Authorities are currently investigating the incident, undertaken by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office Crash Reconstruction Unit. This incident marks the sixth pedestrian fatality in Pontiac in 2025.
