72-year-old pedestrian killed in West Price Hill crash on Sunday
A tragic incident occurred over the weekend where a 72-year-old woman, Shirley Woods, lost her life after being struck by a driver. The Hamilton County Coroner's Office confirmed her passing on November 2nd due to injuries sustained in the accident, which took place at approximately 11:33 a.m. on Sunday in the 4000 block of West 8th Street. Reports indicate that an 82-year-old woman driving a 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC was making a turn onto W. 8th Street from Trenton Avenue when the collision occurred with Woods, who was crossing in a designated crosswalk, as per Cincinnati Police Department. Fortunately, the driver was unharmed, and authorities do not suspect that speed or impairment were factors in the incident. As of now, it remains uncertain whether the driver will face any charges.
