71-year-old woman killed in Gaines County collision
In Gaines County on Sunday, October 26, the Texas Department of Public Safety reported a fatal accident involving Cheryl Ann Baxley, a 71-year-old resident of Hobbs, New Mexico. The incident occurred near the junction of CR 251 and CR 210, where Baxley, traveling eastbound on CR 210, failed to stop at the intersection and collided with a dirt berm. The car veered off the road, overturned multiple times, and caught fire. Baxley was thrown from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
