71-year-old in deadly car accident
A 71-year-old woman was tragically killed in a two-vehicle accident in Winn Parish, Louisiana, authorities announced. The victim, Paula J. Bearden of Camden, Arkansas, lost her life in the crash on La 1236 east of US Highway 167 today. Initial findings suggest Bearden was driving east on La 1236 when, for unknown reasons, she veered across the centerlines into oncoming traffic and collided with a commercial vehicle. Bearden passed away at the scene, while the commercial vehicle driver was unharmed. Authorities have conducted toxicology tests, and the investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
