
7-year-old boy in hospital following severe East Walnut Hills collision
A 7-year-old child was quickly taken to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital on Wednesday following a severe accident in East Walnut Hills. The incident occurred at around 4:30 p.m. on Columbia Parkway, close to Torrence Parkway. According to police reports, a 25-year-old female driver traveling west on Columbia Parkway veered into the opposing lane and collided with a car heading eastbound. The 7-year-old child in the backseat of the 25-year-old's vehicle suffered critical injuries and was transported to Cincinnati Children's Hospital. The child's condition was not disclosed as of Thursday. Both drivers sustained minor injuries, as per Cincinnati police. The factors of excessive speeding and seatbelt compliance are being looked into as potential causes of the accident.
