7 students sustain minor injuries in school bus collision
A Baltimore County Public Schools bus was part of a multi-vehicle accident on Monday morning in Woodlawn. The crash, involving a school bus and multiple vehicles, took place at the Rolling and Dogwood roads intersection. Emergency crews are currently aiding the injured, and delays are anticipated in the area. Bus number 5531 had students onboard, with seven of them taken to a hospital for minor injuries. The Principal of Windsor Mill Middle School, Rodrick Hobbs, communicated with parents about the incident, assuring them that all students were evaluated by EMS and there is a plan to bring the rest of the students to school once authorities clear the scene. Concerned parents rushed to the crash site to ensure their children were safe, expressing distress over the matter. The cause of the accident seems to involve the bus crossing the intersection and veering off the road. Parents have voiced long-standing complaints about the bus driver's behavior, including speeding and tardiness. The school district mentioned they will launch a detailed investigation into the incident.
