
7 injured in Massachusetts crash with logging truck
A multi-vehicle accident involving a logging truck occurred on a highway in Massachusetts, resulting in seven individuals being hospitalized. The crash took place on Route 2 in Phillipston around 10 a.m., involving seven cars and a truck, leading to serious injuries. One car caught fire in the collision. Six people were taken to nearby hospitals with severe injuries, while a seventh individual with life-threatening injuries is receiving treatment at a Worcester hospital. The identities of those involved have not been disclosed. Additional vehicles, including a construction vehicle, a van, and two trucks, were also affected. Local authorities closed Route 2 in both directions in Templeton and Phillipston to respond to the accident, although the road has since reopened. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police. Phillipston is located more than 30 miles from Worcester and just under 80 miles from Boston.
