7 injured, ‘extensive damage’ to 2 vehicles in Bryan Station Road crash

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — One person has died and six other people were injured on Saturday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash on Bryan Station Road. The Lexington Fire Department (LFD) said crews were dispatched just after 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, to the 3500 block of Bryan Station Road in response to reports of a crash that left passengers trapped in their vehicle. Authorities said two vehicles were involved in the crash, and both were heavily damaged. Around 6 p.m. on Saturday, officers with the Lexington Police Department told Fox 56 News that one of the victims in the crash died from their injuries. Two people had to be extracted from one of the vehicles with life-saving equipment, fire officials said. Two other people injured in the crash were reportedly taken to a local hospital in critical condition, and four more were stable. An investigation into the deadly crash remains ongoing.
