63-year-old woman dies in Lake Avenue accident
A fatal accident occurred on Lake Avenue in Rochester on Wednesday night according to the Rochester Police Department. The incident took place at the Riverside Street intersection just before 4:30 p.m. Investigations revealed that a car traveling southbound on Lake Avenue veered into the northbound lane, colliding with another car traveling in the opposite direction. The driver of the southbound vehicle, a 63-year-old woman from East Rochester, was transported to the hospital but unfortunately passed away later that night. The driver of the northbound car, a 38-year-old man from Rochester, suffered minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital. It was noted that neither vehicle had any passengers.
