62-year-old woman killed in Spanish Fork car-pedestrian accident
A 62-year-old woman was struck and killed by a car while crossing the road in Spanish Fork on Thursday morning. The incident occurred at the intersection of Spanish Fork Parkway and state Route 51 around 7:45 a.m. According to Spanish Fork police, the woman was hit by a vehicle making a left turn. Despite being transported to a local hospital, she succumbed to her injuries by 9 a.m. The driver involved in the accident stayed at the scene and is cooperating with authorities. The Utah County Accident Reconstruction Team is providing assistance in the investigation. The woman's identity has not been disclosed yet.
