60-year-old pedestrian killed in crosswalk collision

A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday morning in Placer County where a 60-year-old man from Roseville lost his life after being hit by a vehicle while riding his bicycle in a crosswalk. The collision occurred on the westbound Interstate 80 ramp from southbound Riverside Boulevard, involving a silver 2021 Toyota Camry driven by a 55-year-old man from Citrus Heights. The bicyclist sadly passed away at the scene, and it is currently unclear if the accident involved DUI. The California Highway Patrol is actively investigating the incident.
