5 people hurt in a rollover accident in Kane County, IL
A rollover crash occurred on Friday evening in Kane County, Illinois, resulting in injuries to five individuals. The Pingree Grove & Countryside Fire Protection District was called to the scene at the intersection of Illinois Route 72 and Big Timber Road in unincorporated Kane County. A Ford Explorer had flipped onto its roof, with one person ejected from the vehicle. All occupants of the SUV were transported to the hospital, though their conditions were not immediately known. The eastbound lane of Route 72 was temporarily closed but has since been reopened. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Kane County Sheriff's office.
