
46-year-old biker killed in accident near Hibbing
A tragic incident occurred on Highway 5 east of Hibbing resulting in the passing of a 46-year-old man following a motorcycle accident. The incident took place at around 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon. Reports indicate that the man was heading north on the highway when he veered across the centerline while attempting a turn, ending up in a steep water-filled ditch. Despite efforts from bystanders to save him, the motorcyclist did not survive. It was noted that the driver was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Speed and alcohol are suspected to have played a role in the crash, and authorities are conducting an ongoing investigation into the matter.
