4 people hurt in pedestrian accident: Tampa cops
A pedestrian crash occurred early Saturday morning in Tampa, Florida, resulting in serious injuries for four individuals. The incident involved a 2022 Can-Am Ryker, a unique type of three-wheel motorcycle carrying two women, and two pedestrians who were hit. The crash took place around 12:40 a.m. at the intersection of E 7th Ave and Angel Oliva Senior St. The pedestrians, a man and a woman both in their late 30s, were struck by the motorcycle while in the street near a crosswalk. Subsequently, the motorcycle hit a parked car before colliding with another car stopped in traffic. The driver, a woman in her early 40s, sustained serious injuries, possibly due to a medical emergency before the collision, while the passenger, a woman in her mid-20s, also suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The pedestrians likewise sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a local hospital for treatment. The Tampa Police Department reported that impairment does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
