37-year-old woman from Hong Kong killed in car accident near border
A woman from Hong Kong tragically passed away following a car accident near the border with mainland China. The incident occurred early Saturday morning when her car collided with a parked truck on Man Kam To Road in the North District. The 37-year-old woman sustained severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 50-year-old truck driver was unharmed. Local media footage depicted significant damage to the front of the car, which hit the back of the truck, with the shattered windshield and bloodstains on the airbag visible. Authorities are conducting an investigation into the incident.
