3 women seriously injured in head-on crash in Twiggs County, driver charged with DUI: GSP
An overnight crash in Twiggs County on Sunday left three women hospitalized and a Danville man behind bars for driving under the influence. According to the Georgia State Patrol, around 1:15 a.m., a Ford F150 was traveling on Highway 19 when it crossed a center line on a curve and collided head-on with a Mercedes-Benz traveling in the opposite direction. The driver and two passengers of the Mercedes suffered "serious injuries" and were taken to a local hospital for treatment. GSP says the driver of the F150, identified as 26-year-old Dawson Chapman, was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with DUI, failure to maintain a lane and serious injury by motor vehicle.
