3 transported to hospital after North Carolina ATV accident: Sheriff
In Halifax County, three individuals were injured in an ATV incident in the western part of the county over the weekend. Two individuals were flown for medical care, while one was taken by ambulance to a hospital following the accident at an ATV park in Hollister. The Halifax County Sheriff's Office shared this information, along with four photos showing medical helicopters landing and departing from an open field, just before 7:10 p.m. The helicopters were from ECU Health and Duke Life Flight, and the flights took off as the sun was setting on Saturday. A Facebook post from the sheriff's office asked for prayers for those involved in the accident, which garnered over 250 comments by later that evening, with most echoing the call for prayers for the injured parties.
