3 ejected in crash on US Route 250 in Stark County
BEACH CITY, Ohio (WJW) -- Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers in Canton are investigating a Thursday, Feb. 26, crash that caused three people to be thrown from an SUV. It happened just before 4 p.m. on U.S. Route 250 in Sugarcreek Township, Stark County, according to a Friday, Feb. 27, news release from the patrol. An SUV carrying four people was headed northwest on U.S. Route 250, while a pickup truck was headed southeast in the oncoming lane. The SUV went left-of-center and hit the truck head-on, according to the release. Three of the four people inside the SUV were thrown from the vehicle. Firefighters had to remove the fourth person from the right-front passenger seat, according to the release. None of them were wearing seat belts, according to the patrol. Everyone involved was transported to local hospitals, including the driver of the truck, a 31-year-old Michigan man who suffered only minor injuries, according to the release. Police do not yet know the identity of the SUV driver. The crash remains under investigation.
