270 people found dead in Indian plane crash.
Recovery teams are continuing their search efforts at the site of one of India’s most tragic aviation incidents, which resulted in the deaths of at least 270 individuals in Gujarat state. The accident occurred when an Air India flight bound for London crashed into a medical college hostel in Ahmedabad, killing 241 passengers and at least 29 individuals on the ground. A lone survivor is currently receiving treatment at Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad. The identification process for victims, who mostly suffered severe injuries, is slower than expected, causing distress among relatives awaiting closure. As part of the official inquiry, the Indian government has assembled a specialized committee to investigate the crash causes and recommend preventive measures for the future, alongside ongoing inspections of Air India’s Boeing 787 fleet. Following the recovery of the flight data recorder, investigators hope to uncover key insights into the accident in the coming days.
