27-year-old man charged with manslaughter after deadly Omaha crash

A 27-year-old man has been taken into custody in connection with a deadly collision that transpired in Omaha last month. Justin Sanchez is facing charges of manslaughter and hit-and-run stemming from an incident that resulted in the death of a woman on September 5th. The collision took place in the vicinity of 31st Avenue and Redick Avenue, where Sanchez, driving a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox, reportedly failed to stop at a sign while traveling northbound on 31st Avenue. This led to a collision with a 2016 Toyota Corolla driven by Qatad Al-Khalidi heading westbound. Following the crash, Al-Khalidi was transported to a nearby hospital, where she tragically passed away. Sanchez's court appearance is scheduled for Thursday.
