24-year-old woman killed in Jim Wells County crash
4:22PM UPDATE:The victim of Wednesday's fatal crash in Jim Wells County has been identified as 24-year-old Lindsey Webster of Alice. Texas Highway Patrol confirmed around 1:00 a.m. that Webster ran a stop sign at the intersection of FM 2044 and US 281, causing a truck tractor to strike the Kia Sorento's driver's side. Webster died at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by Troopers from the Highway Patrol Office in Alice. ORIGINAL STORY:A 24-year-old woman was killed during a crash Wednesday morning in Jim Wells County.According to the Texas Department of Public Safety Communications Officer Staff Sergeant Rob Mallory, it happened on North Highway 281 near Farm-to-Market Road 2044 just north of Alice.Details of the accident are unknown at this time and the identity of the woman has not been released.This is a developing story.
