21-year-old killed in steel beam accident in Auglaize County
A tragic incident occurred at a steel fabricator shop in Auglaize County on Monday morning, resulting in the death of a 21-year-old worker named Ayden Hadding. According to Auglaize County Sheriff Mike Vorhees, Hadding was fatally crushed by a large I-beam at Kard Welding around 7 p.m. The initial investigation by the Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office revealed that Hadding was using a strap to transport the beam when it broke, causing the beam to fall on him. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is conducting its own investigation into the incident, and efforts to reach out to Kard Welding for a statement are ongoing.
