2025 Stadium of Fire adjusts program post-fireworks incident, Rascal Flatts in spotlight
The recent Fourth of July celebration in Provo, Utah, marked a year since the 2024 Stadium of Fire event, which had fireworks exploding into the crowd. This year's festivities included lively chatter, impressive fireworks displays, performances by the country music band Rascal Flatts, and much more. The Stadium of Fire is a cherished tradition in Provo, forming part of the America's Freedom Festival. Attendees like Kennedy McKinney and Hannah Hanson from American Fork expressed their love for the event, considering it a family tradition. Organizers highlighted that this is one of the largest fireworks shows in the country, attracting visitors from various locations. Acknowledging the incidents from the previous year, event staff assured changes had been made to enhance safety. For instance, the fireworks vendor was replaced, and problematic whistle fireworks are no longer a part of the show. While some, like McKinney, remained cautious after last year's mishap, others like Christine Morley and Joshua Johnson were excited and less apprehensive. Headlined by the country music band Rascal Flatts, this year's event also featured a drone show, an F-35 jet flyover from Hill Air Force Base, and paid tribute to military and civilian heroes.
