20-year-old intoxicated driver responsible for deadly collision resulting in the death of 47-year-old victim
A drunk driving incident on James Street in Syracuse has tragically resulted in the death of a 47-year-old passenger named Maurice Watkins and left a 71-year-old woman hospitalized with serious injuries. The individual responsible, 20-year-old Antwan Reed, faces multiple charges including aggravated vehicular homicide and driving while intoxicated. The crash, which occurred near Lincoln Middle School, caused significant damage to a white vehicle and surrounding infrastructure. Reed was arraigned from his hospital room and will be held at the Onondaga County Justice Center on a $200,000 bail upon release.
